"The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards" is on ABC Sunday night

Grand Rapids, MI (WOTV) - The most anticipated night of the year is here, it's time for "The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards!" Don't miss this must-see event that is taking place live from the NOKIA Theatre in L.A., on Sunday November 18 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Some of America's hottest performers will be taking the stage to perform including Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, Ke$ha, Linkin Park, Nicki Minaj, No Doubt, P!nk, Pitbull, Taylor Swift, Usher, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, PSY, The Wanted and Swizz Beatz featuring Chris Brown and Ludacris.

AMA winners will be determined by online voting. Fans can vote at the Coca-Cola AMA voting website, amavote.com, as well as AMA.abc.com. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Contemporary Inspirational and for the first year ever, Electronic Dance Music.

Also, make sure to watch the live online pre-show "Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! @ The 2012 AMAs" which will stream live for fans worldwide starting at 5:00 p.m.
