The ABC Television Network will celebrate the joy of the holidays with the the full, uncut version of the holiday PEANUTS special, "A Charlie Brown Christmas", this Wednesday at 8 p.m. The hour will also include "Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa", the seven-minute animated short featuring the voice of Betty White as Mrs. Claus.
In the digitally-re mastered 1965 special, "A Charlie Brown Christmas," Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism that he sees everywhere during the Christmas season. Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant, and Charlie Brown accepts, but it proves to be a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, Charlie Brown needs Linus' help to learn what the real meaning of Christmas is.
Next on the lineup is ABC's "Modern Family" at 9 p.m. In "When a Tree Falls" Mitch joins in on Cam's efforts to save an old tree in the park, but just how far will they go? Jay and Manny are each pushed beyond their comfort zones when they attend a kid's Olympics-themed birthday party, and Claire brings Gloria along on a Costco run -- but add in a "pregnancy brain" and it makes for quite an eventful trip.
Following "Modern Family" comes an action packed episode of "Suburgatory". Watch as Dallas make a pitch for the Scarsdale Performing Arts Center job that his friends are after, while Tessa ends up in the hospital. Find out why on Wednesday's episode of "Modern Family" at 9:30 p.m.
Finishing off the lineup is America's favorite, "Nashville" at 10 p.m. In "Lovesick Blues" Marshall Evans continues to pressure Rayna and Juliette to collaborate at an event at the Ryman theater, Teddy is forced to reveal the truth to Rayna when Peggy's desperation hits its peak, and in an effort to move past her failed relationship to Avery, Scarlett finds herself closer to Gunnar.
