Baby's 1st Easter basket: do's & don'ts

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - If your little one, is simply too little for Easter candy like chocolate bunnies and jelly beans you can still put together a basket of sweet surprises.

Easter Basket Ideas for Baby:

Find a basket that your baby will love.  My husband is a huge baseball fan so my son's 1st Easter basket was really more of a fun surprise for his daddy!   But Easton loved it too because it was soft and cuddly and it even makes noise when you press the button.   Shop around.  It doesn't have to be expensive.  Check your local dollar store, Hallmark store, or favorite retailer.

Then load it up with your child's favorite things that are age appropriate:

-Goldfish crackers

-Kid friendly snacks like yogart bites

-A soft and cuddly stuffed animal

-A new Easter outfit 

-An Easter bib

-Bubbles

-Bath squirtees

-A dvd of their favorite character

-A small board book

Easter Don'ts for Baby:

No nuts

No chocolate

No honey

Be careful for choking hazards like jelly beans or small egg shaped candy

Also watch out for peanut butter products
