As summer winds down, and the outside air turns crisp, it’s nice to know that we still have something good to look forward to. A whole new fall season line up on ABC. The new schedule is packed with entertaining sitcoms, dramas, and of course the reality television that we don’t dare admit to watching.
Sunday nights at 8:00 “Extreme Make Over Home Edition” kicks off a new season. This is one of my favorites! Communities coming together to help out those in need by building a safer and more reliable home for a family who desperately needs it. Trust me; you’re going to need a tissue and a huge container of Cookie Dough ice-cream. (This tip was not intended for the women only).
At 9:00, the beautifully dramatic house wives of “Desperate Housewives” will air, followed by “Brothers and Sisters”. If you haven’t seen this show, it’s a must see. “Brothers and Sisters” incorporate wit and charm, into the popular drama, and it’s hard to turn the channel with this all star cast. Sally Field, Rob Lowe, Calista Flockhart, and the adorable, Dave Annable.
Happy Monday! Start the week off right by watching highly uncoordinated stars spice up the dance floor in sexy costumes. And yes, I love it; “Dancing with the Stars” airs at 8, with the return of “Castle” at 10.
Tuesdays are changing it up this fall with two new shows in the rundown. “No Ordinary Family” looks surprisingly good. An entertaining comedy about a regular family in rural suburbia, who realize they have supernatural powers. Ok, I know it sounds a little over the top, but it actually looks like it could be a hit!
“Dancing with the Stars” hits the air for an hour at 9, for the results of Monday’s performance. This is a good one to watch if you want to keep up with who stays and who goes home.
Wrapping up the night at 10 is “Detroit 1-8-7”. This will be interesting to watch since its being filmed here in Michigan. Extras are going through a Detroit casting agency, and you never know, you may see someone you know.
Wednesday night starts off with a comedy, “The Middle” at 8, then “Better With You”, about two sisters and their seemingly different relationships. Up next is one of my favorites, “Modern Family”, which airs at 9. If you are in desperate need of a middle-of-the-week laugh, this show is the cure.
Then at 9:30, the hilariously funny “Cougar Town”, which stars Courtney Cox as the cougar-like hot and single mom. You will laugh out loud as she battles to find love while incorporating the role as a respectable mother. Finishing off the night is “The Whole Truth” at 10.
Thursday is my favorite night to watch! Two back to back favorites make a return from last season. “My Generation” hits the airwaves at 8, followed by Mc Dreamy and McSteamy-can’t miss this. “Grey’s Anatomy”, followed by a not so private “Private Practice” with the gorgeous Taye Diggs.
Friday starts the weekend off right, especially if you’re not a big “go outer” on Fridays. Snuggle with your puppy, hubby or a balnky for “Secret Millionaire” at 8, followed by “Body of Proof” at 9, and then off to the real truth with “20/20” at 10.
