Upcoming events bring awareness to domestic violence

Grand Rapids, MIch. (WOTV) - Dawn-Attorney's for Women are sharing some local events that help bring awareness to domestic violence. Show your support for this cause by attending an event that's happening during the month of February.
You are invited to join the V-Day Rising!
When: Thursday, February 14 at 5:30 pm
Where: Michigan Abolitionist Project Office
*77 Monroe Center, Suite 404 Downtown Grand Rapids
*After 5pm the door of 77 Monroe is locked and the elevator requires a code.
MAP will have someone at the door to let people in 5:30 - 6 pm
RSVP to Amy at amy.bercher@kentcountymi.gov
We will have sign making materials at the MAP Office so come with inspiring slogan ideas to make your sign!
We will march from MAP to join a flashmob near the Amway starting at 7 pm.

Anatomy of a Domestic Violence Case
When: Thursday, February 28, Noon to 1:30 PM
Where: Kent County Courthouse

Description: This presentation will follow a domestic
violence case from the time the police arrive at the
scene and as the case progresses through the criminal
justice system.
Cost & Registration: This event is free and open to the public.
No prior registration needed.
