GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Recently Matea Diekema celebrated her 11th birthday, but instead of gifts she asked her parents, family and friends to bring donations to Alex House, an orphanage in Haiti. Maranda talked with Matea about why she decided to give up her gifts and why the charity is important to her.
