GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - For over 15 years, the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum has been celebrating the joy of learning through play and exploration. The museum offers several permanent and rotating exhibits that encourage families to learn together and strengthen relationships.
The museums newest exhibit is sure to put your balancing skills to the test! Adventures in Balance is a journey through the jungle as kids and adults can build a walkway over a bubbling lava pit, carefully cross the raging river, climb a mountain, and walk on stilts to see over the treetops. The exhibit features rocker boards which will test participants balance and a series of balance beams for navigating jungle underbrush.
Other fun components include watching your reflection as you try your hand at juggling, balancing an egg on a spoon, or see how long you can stand on one leg. Find interesting facts with the balance scavenger hunt and watch out for the wild animals!
The Grand Rapids Children's Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $7.50 for children 1 year of age and up. Those 65 and over get in for a discount of $6.50.
