Celebrating beauty from the inside out. That is the mission of Beautiful U, a workshop for middle school girls held by Maranda and her community partners. Seventh and eighth grade girls from Grand Rapids, Kentwood and Wyoming, gathered at Ferris State University Grand Rapids for interactive presentations on health, fitness, modesty, skincare, careers, fashion and self-esteem.
Maranda talked with students and educators about why events like this are important to young girls.

Maranda joined WOOD TV8, WOTV 4 and WXSP TV in January of 2001 as Children and Family Services Manager, but has served the community as an advocate for kids and families for over 20 years.
