The Grand Rapids YMCA is throwing the opening pitch of its annual Give-A-Glove campaign. The campaign supports the Inner City Youth Baseball & Softball program by providing young players with gently used youth baseball gloves.

"Every kid deserves a glove to call their own," stated Andy Page of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids. "We have set a goal to collect 500 new or used baseball and softball gloves to be used by kids in the Inner City Youth Baseball & Softball program this summer."

Bring a new or gently used baseball or softball glove to any Grand Rapids YMCA location, Fifth Third Bank branch or Fifth Third Ball Park and in exchange you'll receive a voucher good for four free tickets to a Whitecaps game, a coupon for a free combo meal from Wendy's and a family guest pass good at any Grand Rapids YMCA location.

The Give A Glove program runs now through Wednesday, May 30.  For more information about the campaign or the Inner City Youth Baseball & Softball program contact the Grand Rapids YMCA at 616-855-9622.
