GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Do you have a teen that is obsessed with video games?  Well, believe it or not, having an interest in gaming can actually lead to several future careers.  Digital Animation and Game Design is one of the hottest career paths of the 21st Century.

Ferris State University offers programs to teach the necessary skills to create dazzling 3D art and entertaining games that will help students break into the media industry. Using state of the art technology, professional grade software and innovative teaching approaches, Ferris State University delivers the tools for students to succeed. Built from the ground up and designed by professional media experts and game designers, students are working with some of the most experienced and respected professionals in the Midwest.

The Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Digital Animation and Game Design covers 3D animation, programming, design, and business. Whether your child desires a career in animation, design, simulation, or programming the program can be formatted to focus on a specific concentration.

This program is offered at Ferris State University's Grand Rapids campus located downtown Grand Rapids at 151 Fountain St. NE. The school is hosting an open house coming up on Thursday, February 21 from 5-7:00 p.m. in Room 124 of the Applied Technology Center.
