GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Special Kids Photography of America was founded out of a Pennsylvania mother's frustration, humiliation and hurt experienced at a photo studio with her one-year-old disabled son. She realized that professional photographers need to be trained with researched knowledge on how to be comfortable with photographing special children. That's what Special Kids Photography Association does, it train photographers and advocates for special needs children through beautiful photography.
Hundreds of photographers across the country have been trained in the unique understanding of working with various disabilities, including four photographers in Michigan.
