MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOTV) - Skiing, sledding, ice skating, luging....there are so many winter sports and there is one place in Muskegon that offers it all. The Muskegon Winter Sports Complex has been entertaining families for years. It's the perfect place to spend a winter afternoon and offers sports for everyone in the family. Some of their features include:

Luging
The luge experience at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex is one of only four in the entire county. Shorter in overall length than the Olympic tracks located in New York and Salt Lake City, the Muskegon track provides an Olympic thrill with the safety of the participant in mind. Top speeds of approximately 30 mph are possible from our public start area located about 3/4 of the way up the track.

Ice Skating
There are over two acres of ice skating available for families at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex, which includes hockey rinks, skating rinks and the 1/4 mile ice skating trail. The ice skating rinks and trails are open from 10:00am – 9:45pm daily with weather and ice conditions permitting. Rental of figure and hockey skates available in most sizes as well as hockey sticks, helmets and pucks.

Cross Country Skiing
Enjoy 15+ kilometers of trails for cross-country skiing that are gentle and wind through the woods, along the dunes, Lost Lake bog and nearby Lake Michigan allowing you to explore a variety of Muskegon State Park's natural features.

Snowshoeing
The snowshoe trails are the finest in the region with three trail systems that serve all skill levels. A $5 snowshoe trail day pass is good for all of our snowshoe trails and helps defray the cost of snowshoe trail maintenance, maps and lodge operations. Snowshoe rental is available for $8 per person.

Sledding
There is no charge for the sledding hill and you can bring your own sleds or rent on for $3.
