Take your place settings up a notch

If you have guests coming for dinner over the holidays, give your place settings an unexpected twist with a fun napkin fold.  It's a great way to make family and friends who are invited to your holiday table feel even more special.

Step 1: Fold the napkin in half horizontally, positioning the folded edge at the bottom.

Step 2: Fold the upper right-hand corner down to the center.

Step 3: Fold the left-hand corner down to the center.

Step 4: Bring the lower right corner of the triangle up to the top center point.

Step 5: Bring the lower left corner of the triangle up to the top center point, creating a diamond shape.

Step 6: Fold the top points out to form "wings."

Step 7: Slip the bottom into a napkin ring or tie with a decorative ribbon around the base.

Step 8: Adjust as needed.
