GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Of all the children Bethany Christian Services works with, those with special needs are among the most vulnerable. These children need the security of a family to call their own; a family committed to meeting their needs for medical and therapeutic care.

Special needs is a broad term that can cover anything from social, medical, physical, and developmental challenges. Sometimes these needs are immediate and obvious, sometimes they are emotional needs caused by past trauma, neglect, physical challenges, or birth history.  Significant needs may include developmental, medical, or physical challenges that require long-term care.

Could you open your heart and home to a precious child who needs your love and nurture? It's a question many families ask, but aren't always sure if they can meet the needs of a child with special needs.

If you and your family are considering a special needs adoption, Bethany’s adoption specialists can discuss how a child with special needs might fit into your family. There are also many Bethany families who would be happy to share their experiences with you.

Please complete the contact form here if you are interested in more information on special needs adoption.
