Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) - ’Tis the season for giving! The Jingle Jam invites you to give back while enjoying a rockin’ time on the town. The 2012 Jingle Jam is brings together the hottest local bands around to benefit the Kids' Food Basket. Peppino’s downtown Grand Rapids located at 130 Ionia AVE SE will host the event, where rocking out to great music is just half of the fun. It’s easy! Just show up and bring a monetary or food/item donation for the cause, and enjoy some of the best local musicians in town.
Peppino's Downtown Sports Lounge is joining the effort as well! They will be giving out $5.00 coupons for use at Peppinos to anyone who brings a monetary or food/item donation to help benefit Kids' Food Basket.
Kids Food Basket is Attacking Childhood Hunger by ensuring that lunch is not the last meal of the day for children in our community. Kids’ Food Basket serves nearly 5,000 kids at 37 sites in Kent County during the school year. Sack Suppers are evening meals that provide 1,000 calories and represent five food groups—nutrition that’s critical to their emotional and physical development."
Here are the items that Kids' Food Basket is most in need of- if you are bringing a food/item donation - these are the items you'll want to bring to donate. Monetary donation toward the cause are also accepted at the event (Checks) and can be made out to Kids' Food Basket. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.
