ABC’s Red Widow is not your typical network television series. As the drama unfolds, it seems the show is one that you would traditionally see on cable television, which has caused quite a stir on the blogs. The show is based on a Dutch TV show from 2010, but the broad strokes are very Walter White (or Nancy Botwin, for that matter.)

Radha Mitchell plays Marta Walraven, an upper-upper-middle class housewife in Marin County. She’s married to the seemingly perfect husband — Anson Mount, who happens to be heavily involved in organized crime. When he's assassinated in-front of his home,  Marta begins to take over for him, paying off her husband’s debt while dodging the hard-boiled detective who is hot on her trail.
