Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) - The largest auto show has hit the Motor City, and Detroit revs up for the big showcase. Over 500 concept cars, trucks, hybrids, SUV's, and alternative fuel vehicles fill Cobo Hall downtown.
Friday night is the kick-off to the show's public days with the 2013 Charity Preview. It's one of the largest, most prestigious single-night fundraising events in the country. Since 1976, the Charity Preview has raised over $87 million for Southeastern Michigan children's charities; nearly $50 million of which has been raised in the last 10 years alone.
"We are grateful for the support we have received from the thousands of people who have attended the event over the years, and from those businesses that continually offer services to make the Charity Preview a success." said Jim Sevitt, chairman of the NAIAS. "The Charity Preview has become a very special night in the hearts of Detroiters," said Seavitt. Tickets are still available for the Charity Preview by calling 248.283.5169. Tickets are $95 each. *See photos of this year's hottest production models and soon to be released vehicles below.
