Area merchants welcome you to the 4th Annual “Wine About Winter” event in downtown Grand Haven! The free event allows you the opportunity to view beautiful art work by local artist which will be on display in 30 businesses. While you stroll along the Washington Street path, enjoy a variety of wines for purchase by the glass ($4-$7). Travel between centertown and downtown on the Harbor Trolley at Lemon Creek Winery. Artwork will be judged with awards at 9pm at the Fire Barn Gallery. Stop whining about winter and enjoy sipping wine while supporting downtown Grand Haven at this annual event.

2. Hit the slopes for Prizes
If you haven’t hit the slopes this season, Thursday is the perfect time to touch-up your skills. Each Thursday through the months of January and February, Cannonsburg presents a different fun adventure. Whether you’re an avid skier or want to watch a little friendly competition, Thursday nights are a must see at Cannonsburg. In this competition, tricks can score you big prizes. Prizes can be scored for best effort, sickest style, and even the worst crash. Everyone can go home a winner! If your speed is more on the spectator side, sit back and relax with family and friends in the cozy lodge while sipping hot chocolate.

3. More bang for your buck-Dinner and Grins
Don’t let holiday spending get you down. You can still hit the town while saving a little dough. Grin, laugh and save money! On Friday night get more bang for your buck with a 3 course dinner plus complimentary Dr. Grins. Tickets are just $19.99 per person for dinner and a hilarious show. January 3-5 come out to see Rocky Laporte’s seriously funny show. 4. Grand Slam Juice Ball!
Chef Tommy FitzGerald announces the return of Juice Ball with the "Grand Slam Juice Ball" on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Guests will be transported to a "Grand Slam" themed ball park with games complete with a baseball park. You’ll be humming “Take me out to the ball game” while you chow down on baseball-inspired fare. Guest will dress to impress while sporting full baseball attire. The JW Marriott will once again be home to Juice Ball, which will take place from 7pm until midnight. Entertainment will include Denny Middleton, DJ Slim Tim and the proceeds will benefit the Kitchen Sage this year! Plus, if you see the Social Sizzle there, don’t be shy! Get your photo taken, and find your photo on the front page of the Social Sizzle. You and your friend's pictures will be right here on Sunday from the Grand Slam Juice Ball event.
