Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) - 1. Wine, Women, and Chocolate

On Thursday join Women's Resource Center (WRC) at The Goei Center for an evening of delicious hors d'oeuvres, wines, and gourmet chocolates. There will be a silent auction and raffle, and an inspirational story from a woman who has a better way of life thanks to WRC's services. Proceeds benefit local women in need through WRC's comprehensive employment services. Tickets are $30 each. From 5-7:30PM at the Goei Center.

2. The Haunt

It’s Monsters Paintball and YOU! Get ready to scream for this year’s scariest Haunted House! The Haunt has been voted as the scariest Haunted House in Michigan. Enjoy a new, more twisted maze this year filled with monsters lurking around every corner! There are several attractions including, Haunt XII, After Midnight, Terror Town in 3D, and Monster Paintball. The Haunt is located at 2070 Waldorf St. NW Walker, Michigan. 3. Pups and Pucks

Mark your calendar on Monday to join the GR Griffins team for the Fifth Annual Pups and Pucks benefiting our furry friends at the Mackenzies Animal Sanctuary. After the walk, enjoy a Hay Ride, Petting Zoo, Arts and Crafts, a Pet-friendly Marketplace, Best Dressed Dog Contests, and so much more! This year, Mackenzies has obtained a $25,000 match for each $1 that is donated. It's easy to make a difference with that kind of deal! It’s all happening at 8935 Thompson Rd. in Lake Odessa starting at 4:30 PM.

4. Pep Rally

Come out to watch your favorite media personalities walk the runway in an event to benefit the Heart of West Michigan United Way. A fashion show featuring footwear and apparel from Wolverine Worldwide. I’ll be joining our very own Storm Team 8’s Matt Kirkwood on the runway along with media faces from around town. Enjoy live auctions, fun, and Tailgate-Style snacks form Tommy Fitzgerald. It all kicks off at 6:00 PM at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) located at 2 West Fulton, Grand Rapids.
