Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) - Kundalini Yoga came to the United States in 1969 when Yogi Bhajan landed in Los Angeles.  The foundation of Kundalini is the “Kriya”.  This Sanskrit word is translated as “action” and refers to a series of physical exercises designed to produce a specific result.

Each Kundalini class combines posture, movement, breath work, sound and meditation.  Considered the “fast track to enlightenment” Kundalini works to balance the nervous and endocrine systems. In the process, it releases stuck patterns and energizes our entire being. According to Kundalini, we have 10 bodies: the soul, 3 minds, the physical body, an arcline, an aura, and pranic, subtle and radiant bodies.

In this session, we’ll explore our 10 bodies through discussion, kriya, mantra and meditation.  Kundalini is a sometimes vigorous, always joyful practice. Come prepared to have fun.
