Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) - The New Year is for many a time of change and growth.  We set goals and want to create a fresh start with a new and healthier lifestyle.  Its hard though to change our habits but with a little fore thought you can set yourself up for success.

Firstly, make a plan.  Decide what it is you want and how to achieve it.

Write it down and post it someplace prominent in your home as a daily reminder.

See if you can recruit a friend or partner to join you and inspire each other.

If its exercise you are after, make sure you have the proper equipment and attire handy.  Just seeing these items will serve as a reminder to your commitment.

Lastly, start small and go progress to larger goals.  Let your changes happen smaller and incrementally so that you are set for victory over old unhealthy habits.
