Grand Rapids, Mich (WOTV) - We, as physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and Nurses have an obligation to educate those who come behind. At West Michigan OB-GYN PC we are committed to that responsibility. Our physicians have served as directors of undergraduate medical education at MSU; educating medical students. We serve as mentors and preceptors for APP students from Grand Valley State University, Western Michigan University, and the University of Michigan.
Proudly, we can boast that we are committed to the education of residents. Physicians in our office have been the directors of the residency training program for greater than 42 years. Currently,we graduate 8 residents a year. Many of those residents have become our partners or practice in this community, serving many of you today, meeting your healthcare needs.
Additionally, by supporting education we serve the underserved. Our residents currently deliver greater than 1600 babies per year providing a service to those who have difficulty finding care.
