Bring a sparkle, a glow and a smile with these last-minute, no-carve pumpkins this Halloween. This décor can last through Halloween and into the Thanksgiving season.
Ribbon pumpkins:
Simply sweet, this design idea takes only moments to turn a boring table into a delightful Halloween or fall display.
What you’ll need:
• Pumpkins
• Ribbons
• Glue
Cut your ribbon the length from top to very bottom of pumpkin.
Slowly apply glue to the underside of the ribbon and press gently to your pumpkin.
Add a bow around the stem to cover the ends of the ribbons.
Glitter pumpkins:
Get your sparkle on with this simple decorating idea, for longer-lasting pumpkins with a touch of design.
What you’ll need:
• Pumpkins
• Glitter – fall colors
• Craft glue or Mod Podge
• Paint brush or sponge
• Optional: Spray adhesive
Lightly coat an entire pumpkin with glue and liberally apply glitter around all sides. Gently tap off excess glitter and let dry on a clean surface, like a paper plate or dish.
You can use a spray adhesive if you choose for a more even coating.
Funky Pumpkins:
Grab your leftover craft supplies, ribbon remnants, markers and some googly eyes and let the kids go crazy with smaller, decorative pumpkins.
These will last longer and make a great afterschool project.
What you’ll need:
• Decorative pumpkins
• Googly eyes
• Glitter
• Markers
• Paint
• Glue
• Other: ribbon, stickers, etc.
Paint, glue and glitter to your heart's desire. Let the kids design their own pumpkin characters!
