GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Everyone loves chips and dip so here's a fresh summer twist on a classic! Chef Amy Sherman shares a great recipe for Michigan Cherry Salsa that you can whip up in a snap.
Michigan Cherry Salsa
about 4 cups pitted mixed cherries
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
1 red pepper, chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 jalapenos, seeded and chopped
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon roasted cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper
Chop the cherries into salsa size pieces. Mix everything together, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Let sit at least 20 minutes before serving so the flavors can marry. Serve with corn chips.
