GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Providing kids with proper social and personal etiquette is a gift that is often overlooked. But, having good manners can lead to a lifetime of benefits including:
- Self-respect and inner confidence
- Stronger family relationships
- Conversational skills
- Leadership skills
- Consideration for oneself and others
Established in 2002, Etissentials is an etiquette business that teaches manners in a fun and educational environment for equipping children with the proper manners that will help them throughout life. Owner, Stacey Carpin, teaches a variety of classes and workshops as well as visits schools and community groups. Stacey recently worked with students from Collins Elementary School in Forest Hills to help members of their Girl Scout Troop earn their social butterfly patch. The girls learned how to properly introduce themselves, how to properly walk, sit and stand and be polite at the dinner table.
The Girl Scouts stopped by the studio to demonstrate to Maranda when they recently learned (see above)
