GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) - ArtPrize Insight: There are five different walking paths you can choose to see ArtPrize, all ranging between 1-2.2 miles long. They are family friendly, just follow the stencils and explore! The paths start and end at Rosa Parks Circle. Whenever you see a "Venue" sign that means there will be great art. There are 169 venues, boasting 1,524 entries, check them all out!
Maranda visits Helen DeVos Children's Hospital to talk to Dr. Fahner about art and children's health. HDCH is beautifully adorned with pictures created by kids in the community and hospital. It's a tool used to communicate how a child is feeling, and can be therapeutic during times of anxiety.
Maranda learns of an interesting ArtPrize entry at the Grand Rapids Boardwalk Condominiums. A woman and her mother have created a two room exhibit with sculptures made of paper bags and other recycled material, she was even wearing some of her art! There are 47 artist displayed at the condos, so take a stroll and see the great works!
