KALAMAZOO, Mich (WOTV) - Troy Thrash from Air Zoo held a press conference for an exciting announcement. They have been selected by the Navy to receive a FM2 WIldcat, a WWII Navy fighter plane, to refurbish. The plane was found under 200 feet of water at the bottom of Lake Michigan. It was recovered in 2012 after 68 years. The plane crashed in 1944 during training and is now going to be renovated by the Air Zoo , with the help of thousands of enthusiastic volunteers and employees.
The winning school is announced in the Salvation Army Kettle Creation Contest.
