Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival

Access and Sea to Sea Cycling Fundraiser

This summer, a group of cyclists will be pedaling 3,900 miles from Los Angeles to New York City over the course of 9 weeks with Sea to Sea, a cross-country bike tour that raises funds to fight poverty. Access of West Michigan is teaming up with Sea to Sea for a local ride as the group comes through West Michigan. Join in the fight against poverty by signing up to ride with Sea to Sea and Access on August 3. There are two options: The Long Ride is 39 miles from Hope College to Calvin College in Grand Rapids for $50 per rider. The Short Ride is great for all ages! It's three miles and costs $20 per rider. Kids 12 and under are free. 100% of the proceeds will go to help eliminate hunger and reduce the impact of poverty in Kent County. All bikers will receive a free t-shirt.
Gymco lunch bunch in SE and NE Grand Rapids

From noon until 2:00 p.m., take some time for yourself, get some last minute errands done, or have lunch with friends, all while the kids play in the gym, eat lunch, and participate in other fun activities at Gymco. Cost to members is $12 and non-members are $15. No pre-registration necessary, for ages 3 and up (must be potty trained). Please bring a sack lunch that is peanut free.

Newago County Fair

In operation for more than 50 years, the fair and livestock show on M-82 has a petting farm, sheep shearing demonstrations, vendor tents, food, rides, a demolition derby, burn out contests, the 'Farm Olympics' and more. General admission is free and parking is $3.
