GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) - Maranda travels to Meijer to get some tips and tricks for cooking perfect kabobs. She got advice about how to take this favorite (and mess free) summer meal and take it to the next level.
What kind of meat? Flank and skirt steak soak in the flavor of a marinade and grill quickly. It tastes great and won't keep you from summer fun!
Cooking time? Vary your cooking time. Separate your veggies from the meat when cooking so everything is grilled to perfection. Put your meat on first, then veggies like peppers and mushroom, and finally veggies like cherry tomatoes last. Nothing will be burned or undercooked, making a perfect kabob.
Seasoning? Season as much or little as you like! Experiment with garlic or spices that could add an Asian flare, you can't go wrong. When in doubt, salt and pepper makes everything taste good.
