PORTAGE, Mich. (WOTV) - The Air Zoo recently partnered with the Yankee Air Museum to bring a B-25 bomber plane to West Michigan. The plane is a two engine bomber that served eight missions during World War II. After the war went into private hands and now in the museum's possession.
Having the plane at the Air Museum gives the general public the opportunity to see the plane, take rides in it, and show what it was like in the 1940s to prepare a mission.
The B-25 will be available on select dates during the summer for 30 minute flights. There are still openings on July 10, August 10 and August 21. The cost is $400 per person. For more information contact Tamara Stafford at 269-350-2815.
