GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) - At Ford Field in Detroit, Maranda explores all the fun happening at the Fuel Up to Play 60 event. She talks with kids and sponsors like Registered Dietician Tina Miller from Meijer , Kristen Aidif from the Fifth Third River Bank Run , and Dan Gorman, Food Service Director for Whitehall Public Schools . All the sponsors explain their various reasons for coming out to the event, but overall it is all about making change. Teaching kids how to be healthy and active will expand into healthy lifestyles. The selected kids that attended will serve as a sort of ambassador of health to their peers, leading with example. Fuel Up to Play 60 is all about getting kids excited about nutrition, and the rock and roll nutrition show, Jump with Jill performed for a fun way to learn healthy habits. Maranda and her partners joined together for a special holiday celebration at Meijer for foster & refugee families with Bethany Christian Services. WOTV 4 Women along with Bethany Christian Services, Craig's Cruisers, Meijer, Fifth-Third Bank & Priority Health & other partners spent the night meeting these special families during a taping of Maranda Where You Live. The night was filled with food, entertainment and shopping with these special families.
