GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - be nice. is a positive anti-bullying initiative designed to spread awareness surrounding the issues of bullying and the importance of treating people with kindness. By creating awareness, the non-profit organization will minimize and reduce the effects of bullying including depression and suicide.
The campaign is run by the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan and sends educators into schools to teach students about how simply "being nice" is an effective way to promote a safe and civil environment.
be nice. recently took their programing into Cedar Springs Middle School where students were presented material on combating bullying in their school. Students were inspired by the message and are took on the challenge to become a bully-free school.

Maranda and her partners joined together for a special holiday celebration at Meijer for foster & refugee families with Bethany Christian Services. WOTV 4 Women along with Bethany Christian Services, Craig's Cruisers, Meijer, Fifth-Third Bank & Priority Health & other partners spent the night meeting these special families during a taping of Maranda Where You Live. The night was filled with food, entertainment and shopping with these special families.
