Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) - Babies go through a lot of diapers in their first year of life, so EcoBuns is helping out! Join EcoBuns as they collect enough disposable diapers to diaper one child for one year.
EcoBuns is collecting 3,200 disposable diapers to create a visual for people to see exactly how many diaper changes a baby will go through in the first year of their life. That's a lot of diapers!
When you use cloth diapers, you help reduce the amount of garbage in the landfills by one ton! Diapers are used so gradually, that it's hard to picture how many a child will actually go though.
This is a win-win for everyone! When you donate a diaper of any kind, you will be put in the drawing for a lifetime supply of cloth diapers from Thirsties . Plus you'll receive one entry per diaper donated to win a gift card to EcoBuns!
The goal is to collect 3,200 diapers. Diapers can be dropped of or mailed into EcoBuns (12330 James st - suite B65, Holland, MI 49424). EcoBuns is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-8pm.
The diaper drive will run from August 1st-14th. We are accepting disposable diapers of all kinds, opened, or unopened packages.
"We know that cloth diapers will not work for every family, so we are also collecting the disposable diapers to donate to Nestlings | Diaper Bank of West Michigan ." Says EcoBuns. When the display is finished, all of the diapers will be donated to Nestlings.
The winning school is announced in the Salvation Army Kettle Creation Contest.
