Grand Rapids, Mich. - Celebrities like Betsy DeVos and Governor Synder's wife have donated purses for the Celebrity Purse Auction to benefit Kids’ Food Basket. Designer purses by Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach and Etienee Aigner went on the bidding table, without the designer price tag.
The evening of fun designer bags, music and appetizers went to support a great cause, feeding local children through the Kids’ Food Basket.
Kids’ Food Basket, a non profit organization, is a force for "Attacking Childhood Hunger." Their mission is to ensure children in our community do not go to bed hungry. KFB began over ten years ago by serving 125 kids each school day through the Sack Supper program and now serve nearly 6,000 kids each day in greater Grand Rapids and Muskegon. Sack Suppers are evening meals that provide a well-rounded nutritious meal —nutrition that’s critical to the development of kids’ brains and bodies.
