GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Teresa fought to boost her white blood cell count on her own through diet and nutrition. Here's her recipe for a green smoothie that's packed full of power foods.
Lewie's Green Smoothie
Kale 3 stalks
Spinach -12 leaves
Ice (or orange juice)
1. Take 3 stalks of kale and remove leaves from stalks
2. Place leaves and 12 spinach leaves in ninja blender (or any 4 blade blender)
3. Place ½ pear, ½ apple, ½ banana, 2 tablespoons lime juice and blend
4. Then add ½ cup of water/ice or Orange juice and blend and serve 1 serving. (Optional, blend in avocado)
