GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - WOTV 4 Women presents, Real Women Real Stories: Teresa. This half-hour special showcases a West Michigan Women's fight against breast cancer.
Teresa Hendricks-Pitsch did everything women are supposed to do. She went in every year, sometimes twice a year to get her mammogram. Each time, her mammogram came back as normal. What Teresa didn't know is that for 7 years, a tumor was growing inside her breast, going undetected because of dense breast tissue. She went through a lumpectomy, a double mastectomy, chemo, and reconstructive surgery. Teresa battled her cancer, she fought against the odds, and now she's fighting for you.
See her story and how she's paving the way for other Michigan women dealing with cancer, dense breast tissue, and alternative treatments.
