GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Ready for ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan? My family and I love ArtPrize and in the past we have taken vacation time during the event to better see everything available. This can be a daunting task and you should expect LOTS of people, lots of walking and maybe lots of waiting to see all of the art you want to see.
So lets be prepared- I like to bring a bag or pack that contains a few refillable water bottles so we can stay hydrated. I may also pack some nuts and fresh or dried fruits for quick energy boost snacks. A rain poncho is small and easy to carry – you will be glad to have this if you need it. In case rain is not in the forecast have an organic sunblock ready if you need to reapply. Bathrooms can also be an issue, when they are available it can be challenging for the volunteers to keep these clean and well stocked due to the heavy use. So be prepared with your own hand wipes and tissues.
After a fun day on your feet come home and restore with legs up the wall pose. This will rejuvenate you and be a blessing for your legs after carrying you around all day.
